What is the North Country Telehealth Partnership?
We are northern New York’s leading agency focused on increasing access to health care through the innovative use of telehealth and telemedicine technology.
The North Country Telehealth Partnership was born out of the funding of a 5-year grant provided by New York State’s Charles D. Cook Office of Rural Health, which commenced on April 1, 2013.
Initially operating under the North Country Healthcare Providers, LLC., organizational and administrative focus became clearer as we contracted with the Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization — based in Watertown, NY. By the end of 2014, we were entirely focused on supporting telehealth initiatives in northern New York.
Today, our mission is to provide local health care providers the technical assistance they need to develop and expand telehealth services, which improves access to high-quality health care for medically under-served and rural north country residents.
