We are pleased to announce that our Program Coordinator David Johnson and our Project Coordinator Katy Cook will be presenting at this year’s Northeast Telehealth Resource Center Conference in Amherst, Massachusetts!
The conference, titled “Taking Telehealth Mainstream,” will be held May 23rd and 24th at the UMASS Hotel and Campus Center. It brings together stakeholders from across the northeast so they can learn about telehealth best practices and innovation, network with colleagues, and share ideas.
David and Katy will present on the second day of the conference during an 11 a.m. – noon breakout session. Their talk is titled “12 Essential Steps to Building a Telemedicine Program,” and it will share some of the lessons they have learned in building our region’s telehealth network.
Their presentation has already caught the eye of mHealthIntelligence.com, a premiere source of news, stories and emerging trends in mobile health. In a recent article titled “Telehealth Partnerships Focus on Innovative ROI in Upstate NY,” Editor Eric Wicklund profiles the success of the North Country Telehealth Partnership and interviews both David and Katy. He writes:
[David] Johnson and Katy Cook…oversee some 33 active telehealth and telemedicine projects in the North Country Telehealth Partnership, covering a vast, 11-county expanse of New York that’s home to some of the most remote and underserved regions east of the Mississippi.
